The BBC Trust has published the final details of its funding contribution for the rollout of local digital television across the UK.

The BBC Trust has published the final details of its funding contribution for the rollout of local digital television across the UK.

As part of the current licence fee settlement the BBC agreed to help with the Government's aim of establishing a local TV network by making up to £25 million available for the successful bidder to build the network.

The document published today sets out the BBC's approach to this funding commitment and the criteria that any potential bidder will need to meet to secure the contribution. A draft version of this was published on 24 February.

Alongside this, the BBC Executive has published its arrangements for purchasing content from the successful bidder and these can be read here.

Separately, Ofcom has today published the results of its public consultation on local TV and is now inviting bids for the local TV licence from interested parties. These documents from Ofcom can be accessed here.
