Approval of series-stacking for radio

The Trust has approved 'series stacking' for BBC radio on the BBC iPlayer, following a six-month trial by the BBC Executive.

The decision means that users of BBC iPlayer will be able to listen to some radio programme series on-demand for up to seven days after the broadcast of the last episode in the series. No more than 15% of on-demand radio content will be 'stacked'.

Series stacking for radio was proposed to the Trust by the BBC Executive. The Trust has assessed the impact, financial implications, novelty and duration of the proposal and has concluded that it does not contribute a significant change to BBC services. The Trust has also concluded that the proposed radio series stacking fits with the BBC's overall strategy.
