On-demand syndication policy
Background
In January 2011 the Trust published provisional conclusions on the review of its syndication policy, alongside a public consultation. Following the results of this consultation the Trust undertook a programme of further work to refine its proposals to take account of issues raised by stakeholders during the consultation.
We have published a revised draft policy which, subject to consideration of any additional points raised by stakeholders during a further short period of consultation (this closed on 21 December 2011), we intend to implement early in 2012.

Supporting evidence
To support the work done in formulating this policy, the Trust commissioned independent advice on the technical landscape within which the iPlayer operates. This input was provided by Decipher Media Consultants; we are making available an executive summary of their report to the Trust.
We are also publishing the responses to our previous consultation from stakeholders and individuals who gave us permission to publish their response.
