Complaint
A viewer complained that a sequence in which the reporter charged an electric car and gave explanatory commentary created a misleading impression “that there exist rapid chargers of a ‘slow’ varietyâ€.  The ECU considered the complaint in the light of the BBC’s editorial standards of accuracy.
Outcome
The impression complained of would have been given only if the reporter had been talking exclusively about rapid and ultra-rapid chargers. In fact he referred to a wider range of charging options, and did not give a misleading impression.
