A viewer complained a contributor had misled audiences on the relative wealth of the UK in the course of an interview about health inequality. The ECU assessed this against the BBC Guidelines on Accuracy.
Outcome
The ECU found no evidence the contributor, Professor Sir Michael Marmot, had made an inaccurate or misleading claim of the kind described by the complainant.
